T.J. embarked on his healthcare profession more than two decades ago. His initial roles included being an Emergency Care Attendant and an Emergency Medical Technician first responder, volunteering for fire departments. He then transitioned from EMS and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and Registered Nurse working in various settings such as emergency departments, urgent care centers, and family practice environments. All the while, he was working full-time and striving to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.
His educational journey began at St. Philip's College in San Antonio, where he obtained his initial nursing education and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. He later transitioned from a Licensed Vocational Nurse to a Registered Nurse by attending Excelsior University in New York, where he obtained an Associate of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and a Master's of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Informatics. Later, he then attended Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, earning a Post-Master's Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and he is board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. T.J. joined the GMA team in May 2021 and recently completed his Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Texas Christian University, earning the title Dr. Fackelman, N.P.
In addition to his professional commitments, T.J. serves as a nursing officer with the Texas State Guard serving the citizens of the great state of Texas by deploying during state emergencies such as Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Outside of work, he cherishes spending quality time with his family, has a passion for fishing and photography, and enjoys relaxing on sandy beaches.
Our office is conveniently located off of Loop 410, with free, on-site parking just outside our freestanding facility. Patients can easily access our clinic, ensuring a smooth and timely experience from door-to-door.
